eldritch
Priest is a composer, improvisor, and now "independent researcher." His
compositions, which have been described as "resolutely weird" and
"wondrously mundane," sometimes even "like good acid," concern
themselves with the singular nature of failure and insufficiency,
though they sometimes fail to satisfy these criteria. Recent scholarly
work includes publications in the journals Mosaic, Postmodern Culture, and Radical Musicology. He also has a forthcoming manuscript with Continuum Press on the aesthetics of failure. eldritch is also co-artistic director of the Toronto-based experimental music collective Neither/Nor.
